SANTA FE (KRQE) – As the measles spreads across the country, the Santa Fe Public Schools officials say they plan to step up enforcement of state requirements for student vaccination.
According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, the district will ban students from attending classes without up-to-date vaccinations unless they have valid waviers for medical or religious reasons.
The article says not all children who aren’t vaccinated will be banned, just those who don’t meet state medical regulations.
Most school districts have been enforcing this for years.
