After Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao met at a Miami Heat game last month, just about everybody thought that it was a sure sign that they would be announcing a fight soon. Two weeks later and there still haven’t been any announcements, Super Bowl commercials, or anything to signify that the fight is any closer than it was before that chance meeting.
But now we know that the two fighters have at least talked since then, several times apparently, and last night Floyd used his Instagram to give the world an update about the ongoing negotiations.
The champ posted a video of a second private meeting between the two fighters and it’s one of the surest signs that this might actually happen:
