Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart are not dating again, despite speculation. Gossip Copcan exclusively bust the rumor, which began after the exes were spotted hanging out on Thursday night.
The new speculation took off after TMZ posted a picture of the duo outside the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. In the shot, Smart has his hand on Lopez’s back. According to the outlet, when Smart left a separate, Nick Jonas-hosted fashion event earlier on Thursday, Lopez was supposedly waiting in the car for him.
TMZ and other outlets believe Lopez and Smart may be secretly seeing each other again after breaking up last year. Gossip Cop has learned that’s simply not the case. A source close to the situation tells us it’s “not true” that Lopez and Smart have reunited romantically. We’re told the only reason Smart had his hand around Lopez going into the building was to help guide her through the paparazzi crush. It wasn’t PDA.
The conspiracy theorists who are convinced the exes are really back in a relationship are going to believe what they want to believe, but time will prove Gossip Cop correct on this one. Smart and Lopez and friendly, but not dating again.
